Winchester Cakes and Bakes is a new club for anyone who enjoys baking.  We meet at 7.00pm on the second Tuesday of each month at Toscanaccio in Parchment Street, Winchester, bringing along our bakes to share.  Each meeting has a different theme and you bring along something you’ve baked to that theme: whether it’s a big cake, cupcakes, muffins, savouries, bread, pies, tarts or pastries – anything goes as long as you’ve baked it yourself!

It’s not a competition so there will be no judging, just eating (and probably a bit of talking about food and life in general).  Expect to share your creations both on the night and for others to take home – for example you might come with a pie but leave with less of your pie plus a pastry, a cupcake, a couple of slices of cake, some savouries or a bit of bread!

Open to all, whether professionals working in the food industry or homebakers.  There’s no need to come to every meeting, just join us when you can.  We usually meet on the second Tuesday of each month.  Check our Events page for details of upcoming meetings.

The Club is free to join, but Toscanaccio are kindly hosting us without making a hire charge so you are asked to please purchase some liquid refreshment on the night.  There is a large selection of wines available by the glass or bottle, bottled beers, a variety of soft drinks and hot drinks, plus Cat may occasionally have a ‘special’ cocktail or similar offering for us to tie in with the theme of our meeting.

For more information and to be added to our mailing list please email winchestercakesandbakes@gmail.com or find us on Facebook

All items have been baked in people’s home kitchens.  We assume, but cannot guarantee, that  everyone will bake with due regard to appropriate hygiene standards.  Bakers are advised to use Lion brand eggs for health and hygiene reasons.

It is likely that bakes will contain allergens including but not limited to gluten, dairy and nuts.  If you have any allergies or intolerances, you are expected to check for yourself whether any item of food is safe for you to eat before you do so.

Attendance at any Winchester Cakes and Bakes event is at your own risk.  Neither Winchester Cakes and Bakes nor Toscanaccio can take any responsibility for illness or injury occurring as a result of attending the Club or eating any bakes at one of our meetings.

There is no charge for membership or attendance but all attendees must bring a bake to share.
